From the ongoing health and climate emergency, the importance of the study of differential equations has become evident, especially when they model phenomena in biological, medical, climate and physical fields.
In this context, the contribution that can be given by Control Theory (observability, controllability, and optimal control) applied to evolution equations is considerable. In fact, although the theory of evolution equations and control system had an independent development at the beginning, in recent years their close correlation has become increasingly clear.
The school is thought for doctoral and graduate students who are already interested in Control Theory and its multiple applications as well as for those who want to approach it. It will consist of 3 mini-courses given by world leaders in the field, which will take place in the morning. Seminars by international experts and short talks by young researchers will alternate every afternoon, with the aim stimulating interaction and possible collaboration among participants.
At request, the Organizers certify that attendance to all 3 mini-courses corresponds overall to a 2 CFU - PhD course.
