Venue

The Conference took place in San Antonio, Texas, during September 24-26, 2009, and was jointly supported by the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and the Università degli Studi di Bari, Italy.

The lectures were held at the Downtown Campus of UTSA.

Introductory Session

On Wednesday afternoon there was a preliminary introductory session by Professor Benci.

This session was specifically for interested graduate students who had little or no background in the topic of the conference.

Hotel and Social Dinner

The participants stayed at the

Downtown Market Square Radisson Hotel,

which is just across from the Downtown Campus of UTSA.

On September 25, there was be a banquet offered by UTSA.

The November issue (Volume 9) of Advanced Nonlinear Studies is a special issue dedicated to Professor Vieri Benci, who is one of the editors of this Journal.

This issue contains contributions, by invitation only, by some of the leading mathematicians in the general area of Nonlinear Analysis. Donato Fortunato is the guest Editor for this special issue.
