Proceedings

The Proceedings of the Conference will be published in a supplementary volume of the journal “Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo”.
All participants are invited to submit an article.
The articles will be carefully refereed. Priority will be given to original research papers dealing with problems of interest for a broader group of mathematicians as well as to good survey papers reviewing major areas or significant topics.
In any case, mere announcement of papers appearing elsewhere cannot be included.
A hardcopy of the manuscript intended for publication must be sent with regular mail to:

Organizing Committee Maratea Conference 2009
To the attention of Professor Francesco Altomare
Dipartimento di Matematica
Università di Bari
Campus Universitario
Via E. Orabona, 4
70125 Bari – Italia
e-mail: altomare@dm.uniba.it

In addition, an electronic version of the paper must be sent to Prof. Francesco Altomare either via e-mail attachments(s) or in a floppy disk (or a PC-compatible CD) with regular mail.

The articles would be submitted no later than December 15th, 2009.

To speed up publication, and to ensure a unified layout throughout the volume, we require the use of LaTeX.
The manuscript must include a title, both the first and the family author’s name(s), an abstract, the keywords, and the 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification codes.
Pictures should not be in color, their resolution should be at least 300 dpi, and all used fonts must be embedded.

At the end of the manuscript all authors should give their complete addresses along with an e-mail address, if applicable.

We require the use of LaTeX or AMS-LaTeX in order to simplify the usage of the template file required to compile the final version of the papers once that they are accepted for the publication. This template file will be provided ready for use with the LaTeX version LaTeX2e.
Please note that we cannot accept electronic files produced on any other typesetting or word processing system.
The template file mainly sets the fonts, margins and spacing. It is based on the standard AMSart class. Hence all of the usual LaTeX and AMS-LaTeX commands can be used inside your document.
The authors are highly recommended not to modify the template file by introducing personal settings and/or definitions.
The authors must submit with regular mail to Professor Francesco Altomare a final hardcopy of the article together with a 3,5” PC formatted floppy disk or PC-compatible CD containing the LaTeX source file, a compiled version (DVI file) as well as all necessary macros used; if possible, the source file would consist of a single file or of a root file and separate picture/diagram files; all picture/diagram files included in the paper and obtained with an external program should also be converted in EPS (encapsulated postscript) format and enclosed in the diskette or CD.
